Lane K. Turner, CPA - Partner
A native of West Texas, Lane has provided tax, accounting, and consulting services to his clients predominantly in the real estate and professional services industries for over 30 years.
Lane earned his BBA in accounting summa cum laude from Texas Tech University in 1988 and went on to receive an MS in taxation from Tech in 1990. After graduation, he gained a broad base of tax experience during three successful years with Ernst & Young in Dallas. Family ties and an opportunity to be the Corporate Tax Manager for Furr's Cafeterias drew him back to Lubbock in 1993.
While the experience of working in a corporate environment was rewarding, his desire to help individuals and businesses plan for their financial needs led him to Howard, Cunningham & Houchin, LLP, in 1994. Lane was honored to be named a partner in 1998, and he is very proud of the firm that hch+t has become.
Actively involved in civic activities, Lane has served as president of the Greater Southwest Lubbock Rotary Club and the South Plains Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has also acted as treasurer of the Lubbock ISD Foundation for Excellence, the Civic Organization of Lubbock, the Komen Race for the Cure, and several other organizations. Lane currently enjoys serving on the board of Carillon and the Lubbock Arts Alliance, as well as being a director of his Sunday School class at Southcrest Baptist Church.
Lane and his wife Kim, also a CPA and the Chief Audit Executive for the Texas Tech University System, have three adult children and one grandson.
