Mike Cunningham, CPA - Retired
Mike co-founded hcht+t in 1981 and spent 38 years as a partner before retiring in 2019. Mike's commitment to continuing education kept the firm at the forefront of the profession. He was a forward thinker and planner and continually sought out best practices to deploy within the firm for the benefit of our clients.
Deeply committed to his profession, Mike was a respected certified public accountant with extensive experience in service industries and the real estate development business.
Mike earned a BBA in accounting with high honors from Texas Tech University in 1974 and his CPA certificate in 1976. Mike and his wife, Alice, made Lubbock their home for over 45 years. Mike was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. Mike taught adult Sunday School classes at Westminster. Mike and Alice have two children and four grandchildren.
Mike served on the board of directors and as president of the board of directors of many local organizations. Most recently, Mike had served on the board of directors of American Bank of Commerce, where he was a member of the director's loan committee and the audit committee. Mike was also a member of the Covenant Medical Center board of directors.
